Biography
Jaime L. Wiebel, MD – Biography
Jaime L. Wiebel, MD is a board certified clinical endocrinologist who specializes in endocrine, diabetes and metabolism disorders at Endocrine Associates of Dallas. She graduated cum laude from University of Miami with her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. She completed her M.D. in 2010 at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, after attending on a merit scholarship, placing in the top 10% of her graduating class. As a medical student, she completed a year-long research fellowship with the Doris Duke Foundation at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas.
Dr. Wiebel continued her training with a residency at Wayne State University in Detroit in the Department of Internal Medicine from 2010-2013. During residency, she was honored as the Ambulatory Resident of the Year and John D. Dingle VA Resident of the Month.
From 2013-2015, Dr. Wiebel completed a fellowship at University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in the Department of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Diabetes. During her fellowship, Dr. Wiebel published several manuscripts and a book chapter in the area of Thyroid Cancer. She was an American Thyroid Association Trainee Grant recipient, as well as an Endocrine Society Early-Career Grant recipient.
Dr. Wiebel is board certified in Internal Medicine and the subspecialty of Endocrinology Diabetes and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Texas Medical Association.
