Personal Interests

Dr. Shea is married (Jerry – 1996) and has a daughter, Katy. Her dog, Frodo, provides entertaining stories. She enjoys hiking, gardening with a particular interest in medicinal herbs (did you know you can grow Stevia?), weight lifting and hot yoga.

Biography

Heidi C. Shea, MD, has multiple board certifications demonstrating her deep commitment as a physician to provide the best possible care for children and adults in her chosen field of endocrinology. Dr. Shea’s special interests include endocrine disease that affects the entire lifespan, transition of pediatric to medicine endocrine patients, pituitary disease and treatment, and lifestyle changes for weight loss. Dr. Shea’s office is located in Plano, Texas.

Heidi C. Shea, MD is a board-certified clinical Adult and Pediatric Endocrinologist who specializes in endocrine, diabetes, thyroid, and other hormonal disorders. Dr. Shea is the Director of the Diabetes Education Center at Endocrine Associates of Dallas. She enjoys caring for patients with Endocrine disorders that affect all ages. Her particular interest is those lifelong endocrine disorders that begin in childhood and persist into adulthood. Dr. Shea has a passion for having patients take control of their disease and desires all patients to be in command of their nutrition and lifestyle to improve their health. Her clinic is a site for the Ideal Protein weight loss program.
