Personal Interests

Dr. King is married to Carter, an interventional cardiologist, and they have two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling. She is a member of and attends Park Cities Presbyterian Church.

Biography

A native Texan, Dr. Elizabeth King was born and raised in Houston. She graduated magna cum laude from Westfield High School and then attended The University of Texas at Austin, earning a bachelor of business administration in finance with honors in 1999. Dr. King graduated from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio in 2003 and stayed at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) to pursue her postgraduate training in internal medicine where she also served as chief resident. She then completed her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at UTHSCSA in 2009.

Dr. Elizabeth King served on the faculty at UTHSCSA for two years prior to relocating with her family to Dallas in 2011. From 2011-2014, she was a member of the faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine/Division of Endocrinology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She was pleased to join Endocrine Associates of Dallas in 2016.
